I am no teetotaler but do like to have a cup of tea every day, usually in the evening after dinner. I like trying different types of herbal teas and this one in particular caught my attention because it is not just a tea, but it is a detox treatment. 14 days is a relatively short period to get rid of all the toxins in my body. This is doable. I felt like I could use something to give me a little boost of energy and the fact that it helps with weight loss made it all the more enticing. But how does it taste? I agreed to test, evaluate and review in exchange for a discount. The tea arrived promptly and is packaged nicely in a thick foil zip lock bag for freshness. My first impression was that there may not be enough tea in the bag for 14 days but the directions are clear and concise, one teaspoon per day so there is actually a little more than needed. You will need a tea infuser for brewing. I used my Keurig with my own filter cup. I like my tea strong and full bodied so after it brewed; I let the brew cup sit in my teacup a little longer.

I admit, I was skeptical but after my first cup, I was pleasantly surprised. I sweetened it with a dollop of honey and squeezed a ¼ of a lemon. I could smell the spearmint. It had a nice bouquet and after taking a baby sip, my discerning pallet was happy. This was actually a treat and did not feel like a treatment!
I am on day 7 as I write this review. I am very pleased with my purchase. I feel better, not bloated and tired. I think the combination of herbs, basil, spearmint, green tea, among others, created a diuretic so I feel as if I am making more frequent trips to the bathroom but this is how the toxins are flushed out of your system, so it was expected. I am thoroughly enjoying the flavor and benefits of the tea. It does also seem to help curb my appetite and stick with good food choices, just knowing that I am doing something good for my well-being |
