The wired gaming mouse from Pictek is quite the mouse, technology wise, for the price. I recently obtained one of these mice and replaced my Razor Deathaddler with it. Mind you, Razor is the name brand for hardcore gamer, and not many people stick by them, this mouse was capable of keeping up with my old Deathaddler fairly easily. One downside I do have to point out is that the software that is listed in the user’s page is not available with the mouse, so trying to configure the mouse was interesting, but it’s really the only downside. You can find the software, but it’s listed on a Chinese (?) website and you always want to be careful downloading things you might not be able to understand. Beyond that, the mouse is plug_and_play for windows 7 and above, and the buttons on the top automatically adjust the DPI of the mouse (How fast the mouse moves and how slow it moves) without needing to adjust a slider, meaning that shooters can change how fast they want to look right away without needing a slider. I tested this with the new release from Blizzard Entertainment, Overwatch. While playing as the sniper, Widowmaker, it was a nice change when firing at a slow moving target vs. a faster one when adjustment of the scope speed was just a button away. Another added bonus for this is that the DPI settings have specific colors for how fast the mouse is. Slowest is red, fastest is green, so it’s a nice visual for what your mouse is set to for these situations. The buttons are very responsive and have a nice “click” to them, always good when you need to make sure you’re using them, and the extra buttons are easily programmable with key-binds in any game you play. 10/10, would recommend, fantastic mouse with a low price, comfort and speed.
I received this gaming mouse at little or no cost in exchange for unbiased review. Review was a collaborative effort with my gaming tester, Ben Maddox.
