Marshmallow Roasting Sticks

The Marshmallow roasting sticks from Garyob is actually the first set that I have had.   Typically we have to look for a suitable stick and then whittle the end into a sharp spear.   Sometimes the stick would catch on fire along with the marshmallow. I know, that it is somewhat primitive.  Garyob has a much safer alternative, especially with children.
Needless to say, I love these!
These roasting forks can be used on the BBQ, Fire Pit or Campfire.  They come in their own carrying or storage pouch and each prong has a protective tip so that it cannot do any harm.    I especially like the soft easy grip handles made of BPA free non toxic plastic.  The fact that they telescope out keeping you a safe distance from the flame is an added bonus.   The kids love making Smores in the Summer and Fall which will certainly put these roasting forks to task.   They can even be used for a weenie roast!  Even the most finicky eater will eat a wiener that they cooked themselves.  And for the adults?   How about an outdoor fondue party!
The right utensils make all the difference.   These sturdy telescoping stainless steel roasting forks with soft grip handles are a hit with young and old.   I always used to say that food tastes better on a stick.   Well, the Garyob roasting fork is the evolution of the cooking stick!
You get 5 roasting forks with colorful handles and handy tote for storing.   I would not hesitate to recommend them.    After using these, I would never go back to the stick!
I received the set of roasting forks at a discount so that I could test, evaluate and provide an unbiased review of this product.   If you wish to purchase a set for yourself, just click on the Amazon link.

The "Very Cool" Banana Boat

These awesome inflatables are taking the internet by storm! I have seen them everywhere and wanted one.   The yellow one fromQmagic was my choice of color and when inflated, reminds me of a banana.   This is a very cool concept but design may need a little tweaking.
The idea is to have an instant lounger, or couch which, when deflated can fit in a small sack and is light enough to carry anywhere.   No pumps or compressors needed to inflate as you use people power and wind power, which is where the issues arise.
There are two chambers, each having a very wide mouth through which the air enters.
In order to fully inflate the chambers, you will need a strong breeze.   If the air is still as it was the day I tried this out, then you have to create it by running or spinning really fast.  The video that I took was our first attempt at filling this thing up with air.   Now that I can see the dynamic of the thing, I think a fan, vacuum cleaner or leaf blower would have made it easier.   That being said, the beauty of this is that you don't need any of the modern conveniences to blow it up.   If you are at a beach, you wouldn't have a leaf blower, would you?   So it is fully intended to be wind powered.

The bag folds so compactly that it fits in this small shoulder bag.  It is lightweight and easy to carry, yet when inflated, it is quite large.
Although it is designed to be light, the parachute type material is very strong.   People use these as extra seating in a family room or outdoors, a float in a pool or a lounge by the pool or on the beach.   It is very versatile and comfortable..  I look forward to new versions of this coming on the market.  In the meantime, we shall practice our technique which I am sure we will be experts in no time.
Disclosure:  I received the inflatable lounger from Qmagic for little or no cost in exchange for testing, evaluation and review.
