Frankincense oil has been historically used to promote good health. There is plethora of ailments that Frankincense was used to treat such as arthritis, wound healing, female hormonal system and to maintain health. This essential oil is made from resin of the Boswellia genus trees. It has a woody scent which is both calming and relaxing. Frankincense is also used in religious rituals. It sort of reminds me of Christmas and incense which is burned during ceremonies. I use a few drops in my aromatherapy diffuser for a peaceful calming atmosphere as a sleep aid. I have also used it on my hands which are arthritic and it does help. It is a natural alternative to modern medicine containing artificial chemicals. It is a good value because it is highly concentrated. It is good for so many things and a little goes a long way.
